Serious casualty with Sea Doo personal watercraft (not registered in the National Ship Register), occurred near Ustya village, Kamianets-Podilskyi district, Khmelnytskyi region.

    At 16:30 (Kyiv time), while riding a Sea Doo personal watercraft (not registered in the National Ship Register) on the Dniester River, near Ustya village, Kamianets-Podilskyi district, Khmelnytskyi region, the rider, traveling at high speed along the shoreline, encountered a wave. As a result, the rider lost control and collided with a small vessel, the ‘Family Boat,’ which was moored at the pier (with no persons aboard).

    As a result of the serious casualty, the rider and passenger of the personal watercraft sustained serious bodily injuries and were transported to the hospital for urgent medical treatment. The watercraft was significantly damaged, while the ‘Family Boat’ remained undamaged.

    NTIB launched an investigation into serious casualty.
