Serious incident with Su-31 N131GT, occurred during flight en route Lviv – Kosice.

    At 11:35 UTC during flight N131GT en route Lviv – Kosice (Slovakia) by plane Su-31 N131GT (USA), owner and operator – private person, pilot (Australian citizen), on the 20th minute of the flight, an engine vibration and misfiring has occurred, as a result pilot made a decision to divert to Lviv. During divert flight and descend an engine vibration became worse. Pilot declared “MAYDAY” and landed on a field nearby Voloshcha village. After landing aircraft sustain no damages and a pilot remains uninjured.

   NTIB launched an investigation into serious incident (preliminary classification – based on available circumstances).

   Preliminary report on investigation is planned to be published during 30 days and it will include additional information regarding serious incident circumstances.
